He looked a bit pale on Sunday’s episode. I loe having him back it’s just that I hope he didn’t return too soon.
Wow it’s been a while

Haven’t even looked at the ABC boards. Gale, it seems will be back on the show next week though. I think they were just creating an arc to deal with his accident.
Contradicting yet again

Don’t believe rumours to the contrary.
We’re getting GALE for the holidays!!!!

( hope you don’t mind my sharing this “B” )
Terrific news on Gale from his manager Larry. Gale’s progress is excellent. He would like to start driving again, although that is still a ways off, and is now taking lunches and beginning to run lines with friends. We are planning to do his voice over dialogue for 511 in early December. This is all very exciting and very positive. If the healing continues to progress as well over the next month he should be back with us in January.

First Day
November 1, 2008
So it seems that, from what is being reported, today is Gale’s first day at home since the accident. One can only imagine what it must be like for him. First days are difficult, even in familiar surroundings with lots of care- takers. I know of somebody else who is having a first full day today.
The recovery process can be painful, it probably will be. We have always, in the time we have known and been familiar with Gale, seen him at his best, healthy and happy, surrounded by friends and doing what he loves. Now he has a long road ahead of him. I’ve heard of a ruptured ear drum, the fractured shoulder, the swollen brain, some memory loss…
I have every confidence though, as we all should, that he will be healthy and whole again if he just puts his heart and mind to it and stays focused and surrounds himself with positive influences only.
I think I might have been in a bit of shock/ denial about what happened. Apologies if I have seemed insensitive. It has been so easy to let my mind stray towards all of the other distractions of this time instead of thinking about how such a talented person and kind soul is going through so much pain.
Gale’s recovery
October 31, 2008
I’ve been trying to stay positive about what has happened, not to the point of denial, but I must say that update from last night (see below/ previous entry) has left me a bit shaken.
“Cognitive recovery” and “fractured shoulder” and “swollen brain” are words I never thought I would hear used in discussing Gale. I don’t mean to make this about me it’s just that the last update was a bitter pill to swallow. It sounds like he is getting the best care possible though and is surrounded by tons of people who will see him through this with flying colors.
Well, I just needed to get that off my chest. Gale WILL make a full recovery. Give him time and space and plenty of rest right?

Gale is continuing to progress but the anticipated time of healing may take a bit longer than initially hoped for. He will be released from the hospital on Friday and will have friends and family staying with him for at least a month to aid in his rehabilitation. His medical team, friends and family will work on the cognitive therapy to help rebuild his memory. He’s walking well, and healing nicely and anxious to return to his home. His shoulder will take 6-8 weeks to return to full function. His parents will remain through this week.

The good news continues. Gale has moved into a rehabilitation room. It is hoped that he will be released on Friday. I learned today that he does have a ruptured ear drum so his hearing is adding to the difficulty at the moment. The NeuroPsychologist believes that there will be a full recovery of all functions. His parents are in town for the week. He still tires quickly. His manager believes it best for visitors to wait until Gale is home.

**** I’ve heard people recovering from concussions tire very easily. Sounds like he is making good progress though. whew!!!
The State of Gale’s Anatomy
October 25, 2008
All very good news today. Gale has moved into a room, information below. He is in a great mood, conversational, laughing and playing jokes on his doctors and nurses. His memory is returning and his friend has described the past 2 days as “leaps”. Still sore in the ribs and shoulder. He has begun to read emails for those of you who have it (I’m not giving it out J). His parents are visiting this weekend so be aware that he will be busy and most likely tired. We’ll be sending something from the company.

Gale wasn’t under the influence of anything, he was wearing his helmet (it’s still possible to get injured just not as badly) and he wasn’t speeding or going against lights.

October 18, 2008
… would make another statement. I mean really, we ARE sorta like his extended family aren’t we? We are worrying and fretting and in some cases shedding tears over this. We would really love to know that he can speak well, eat on his own, SOMETHING. A post on MySpace even? Come on Nancy and Gale. When you are up for it, our stomachs are in knots here ok?
Another update
October 17, 2008
Fox News is reporting that Gale Harold is improving from the injuries (a fractured shoulder and swelling on the brain) he suffered on Tuesday from a motorcycle accident, but he is still under observation in the intensive care unit at USC Medical Center. They added that as soon as a bed opens at Cedars-Sinai he will be transferred there.

The ultimate update
Hi,
>> Generally speaking the news is good. He is still in a room that is restricted to both visitors and g*fts. His memory is slowly returning which is a sign of reduced swelling. He is wearing a foam neck brace, and a sling for his shoulder. The doctors will continue to monitor his progress but it does appear that each day he is improving.

Update
October 15, 2008
The latest is that he will need weeks to recover but they are still saying he will make a full recovery.
Keep praying.
After he recovers I think he should do some interviews so that he can endear himself to DH viewers who simply dislike him because we LOVE him.
Gale Harold: No Rumor

He was on his way to the set. There is some swelling on the brain and they are waiting for test results but expect him to make a full recovery.
Keep praying until he walks out of that hospital and doesn’t take any medicine for his injuries.
